Bloodwork
Here at Northwest Veterinary Hospital we are able to perform a number of blood tests in-house and have results the same day. We can monitor the function of your pets' liver or kidneys, check blood cell counts, determine the level of electrolytes in the blood stream, or perform a comprehensive profile. Our in-house lab also routinely checks for heartworms, canine pancreatitis, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia.
For testing which cannot be performed in our lab, we use IDEXX Laboratories and Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. These are off-site laboratories that offer a broader range of diagnostic tests.
These abilities and options allow us to help care for your pet in both routine and emergency situations, and provide for an extensive amount of diagnostic options.
