Julian Phillips DVM

Dr. Phillips is originally from Alabama. He started working at Northwest Veterinary Hospital in July of 2005 and purchased the hospital from Dr. Rhyne in January of 2007. He graduated from Auburn University in 1998 and also has a degree in marketing from the University of Alabama. He has been in Austin for 5 years and enjoys playing the banjo, scuba diving, live music and motorcycling. He has a mixed breed dog and one cat. |
Greg Buenger DVM

Dr. Buenger graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, after which he started a mixed animal practice in his hometown of Industry, TX. After years of working with both large and small animals, he has decided to focus on dogs and cats. This is what led him to joining the NWVH team in June of 2007. He and his wife, Anneta, each have 3 grown children. They have 3 cats - Merlot, Martini and Jose, and several Paint horses. Dr. Buenger enjoys playing the piano and singing, golf and other sports, and fly fishing in Montana. |
Robert Rhyne DVM

Dr. Rhyne was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he practiced in Florida for eight years before returning to Texas in 1992. He purchased Northwest Veterinary in 1993 and sold it to Dr. Phillips in 2007. He and his wife, Patricia, have been married since 1983, and have two children: Naomi, attending the University of North Texas, and Spencer, entering college at Marymount University in Virginia. His pets are a female sheltie, Skittles, and two cats, Phoebe and Chi Chi. His hobbies are saltwater fishing, mountain biking, and racquetball. |
